Missions are very important at CCP. Below are the activities are have for Adults at CCP, though we have many opportunities for youth, as well. Please see the Children and Youth section for the Youth Mission info.
Living Waters for the World
Since June of 2007 ChristChurch has sent teams to the Yucatan and Haiti to install water purification systems. For more information visit the Living Waters For the World Web site.
In August 2010, three members of ChristChurch, along with team members from other churchs, installed a water purification system in Limbe, Haiti at the Jela School and orphanage. Click here to read about their adventure.
Sack Lunches
The Mission Team thanks everyone who generously donates ready-to-eat items for the “Sack Lunch” pantry in the church office. We happily collect Vienna sausages, fruit cups, pudding cups, packages of cheese or peanut butter crackers, granola bars, and juice boxes. Please bring your donations to the church office.
Seafarer’s Center
Each year we collect specific items to include in Seafarer’s Boxes. During the Chirstmas season, we gather to pack the boxes, wrap them, and deliver them to Seafarers who will be away from their families during the holidays. Items donated include travel-sized toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, mouthwash, notepads, pens, decks of cards, and sewing kits. Items are collected throughout the year. Liz Gentry is the contact person.
