Shepherd Groups

They too will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock and one shepherd. John 10:16

These word of Jesus describe well the hopes of the Congregational Life Committee that has organized our new Shepherd Groups. Thanks to the generosity and the leadership of many church members, we now have 14 Shepherd Groups who will keep watch over and “get to know the voice” of each member of ChristChurch Presbyterian.

The functions of Shepherd Groups include:

  • Hosting bi-annual social for their group members to meet & stay in touch
  • Circulating important church information to group members by phone
  • Providing pastoral response to group members when a birth or death occurs
  • Providing meals when a group member returns from the hospital
  • Providing regular phone calls or mail contact with members to assure they feel connected to the church
  • Keeping the co-pastors notified of pastoral issues that may need their attention
  • Notifying the church office of any changes of address, phone, or other information
