Summer Church School Meets Sundays 9-10 AM June – August 1, Excluding July 4.
Children ages 5-12 years join us in room 222 of the Education Building for The Story Keepers series. Betsy Barclay, Julia Cook, Laura Shely, and Marti Speer will be rotating as teachers. Janice Schessler is the summer coordinator.
Youth will meet in room 211 of the Education Building. David Rudd, Susan Hightower with help from Gretchen Sparks will be exploring questions related to God from the Faith Questions series.
Adults can choose from two classes, Wired Word lead by Fred Cook will meet in West Wing room 6. The Wired Word curriculum is based upon current events. The second class is Mental Gymnastics – The Voice. It is a New Testament Study Bible, written to foster spiritual growth and theological exploration. Homer Borgstedte leads this class and it meets in West Wing room 1.
Summer of Love Worship Series
Consider God’s great and amazing love for us during our Summer of Love Worship Series. Our guest speaker this Sunday, August 1, will be The Rev. Carol Burgeson. Click here the full list of guest ministers.
Sunday Morning Prayer Group
Every Sunday at 9:45am, members of ChristChurch will gather in the angled pews at the front of the sanctuary for fifteen minutes of prayer and meditation. We will pray for our church and its leaders, for the worship service that is about to commence, and for the ministries, programs, and missions of our church. Janette Hearne and Liz Gentry will facilitate these prayer gatherings. Everyone is encouraged to attend. We will come together in confidence of God’s plan for the next phase of our church’s life and his love for each of us. For those present but choosing not to participate in prayer, please respect this sacred time by minimizing distractions.
Chancel Choir Rehearsal
The Chancel Choir will rehearse this Wednesday at 7pm in the Music Room. All are welcome.
Garage Sale Donations
Start cleaning out those closets … we’re getting ready for our annual garage sale. Drop off donations in room 4 of the West Wing. The garage sale will be Saturday, October 2 in the Fellowship Hall.
CCSC Shoe Drive
It’s that time again! We are collecting new and gently worn shoes for school-aged children in support of the Christian Community Services Center’s Back to School program. Look for shoe receptacles in the Sanctuary and at the CDC soon. Financial donations are greatly apprecaited, too. Please contact Liz Gentry for more information.
